5 Guinness Specials to Get You Ready for St. Patrick’s Day
With St. Patrick’s Day just around the corner it’s time to embrace the Irish spirit. The best way to do that is to enjoy a tasty Guinness on special. Here are five of our favourite Guinness specials to kick-off the St. Patrick’s Day celebrations:
Jack’s Taphouse & Grill 52 Alexander Street
Jack’s Taphouse & Grill offer a $4.99 Pint of Guinness from Monday to Friday 3pm to 6pm during their Happy Hour. Accompany your pint with a range of appetizers, such as the Yam Fries for $4.95 or Jack’s cactus-cut Cajun potato chips for $5.95.
Johnnie Fox’s Irish Snug 103 Granville Street
The website declares ‘Proudly Pouring Vancouver’s Best Pint of Guinness since 2004’ and we agree! Johnnie Fox’s offers a $6 Pint of Guinness from 3pm to 6pm every day of the week. And if you fancy exploring go for the Pint of Magners for the same price. Pair that with the Thursday special of bottomless curry fries for $12 with a $5 Jameson and you are in for a good night.
The Lougheed Village 9304 Salish Court, Burnaby
It may be useful to take a look at the directions on the website as this place is a little hard to find but once you’ve found it you will not be disappointed. With a great atmosphere and weekly drop-in pool tournaments this place is one of our favourite places to visit in Burnaby. Enjoy the $6.50 Pint of Guinness on Fridays with the $6 Everyday Soup and Sandwich deal.
The Lamplighter 92 Water Street
Check out this easy-going hangout for sports & drinks with exposed brick & stained glass. Sample the $18 slow roasted prime rib with all the trimmings every Sunday from 4pm onwards and pair it with a $6 Pint of Guinness. But be quick as this deal is only available until the prime rib runs out!
The New Oxford 1144 Homer Street
Gulp down the $5 Pint of Guinness Special served on Mondays at this modern British sports pub serving classic cocktails, craft beers & gourmet bar bites.
