Vancouver is home to some world famous Irish pubs and there could be no better place to enjoy the St. Patrick’s Day festivities than at one of these pubs. Whether you are looking for green beer, tasty Irish cuisine, or Irish dancers one of these five places will have you covered:
The Blarney Stone 216 Carall Street
With a full week of festivities going on before St. Patrick’s Day this is the place to be for this year’s celebrations. The highlight is the full-day festival on St. Patrick’s Day from 9 am to 3 am featuring live music, prizes and games, and entertainment to go along with brunch and various other food and drink specials. Dubh Linn Gate 1601 Main Street
Vancouver newest Irish pub is keen to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in style. With $10 cover charge all day you can celebrate with Irish dancers, live music all day, and Guinness, Harp, Murphy’s and Jameson Irish Whiskey drink features. They are also doing their regular food menu from 3 pm onwards so you can try their renown Steak & Guinness Pie.
Irish Heather 210 Carall Street, Vancouver
Vancouver’s only fully owned Irish pub celebrates Irish culture every day and St. Patrick’s Day will be no different! With no cover all-day, unique Irish dishes on the menu, and Irish music all night this is the place to be for an authentic Irish celebration. Reservations are highly recommended to ensure you are able to get a table to enjoy the festivities.
The Lennox Pub 800 Granville Street
The spacious Irish pub on Granville Street is offering a featured food and drink menu to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. With featured food including an $11 Irish Stew, $14.50 Lamb Burgers, $16 Shepard’s Pie, $19 Braised Lamb Shank and a tasty Bailey’s Cheesecake for $8 to pair with some unique drink creations such as the $8.50 Irish Sour Cocktail (Jameson Irish Whiskey, Apricot Brandy, Apple, and Lemon Juice), or the $6.75 Pot of Gold Shot (Jameson Irish Whiskey, Alize Gold, and Lemon Juice shaken on ice). And don’t forget the green beer! All day on St. Patrick’s Day Harp’s Larger will be served green for $8.50. Lots of other food and drink features available all St. Patrick’s Day Week (March 11 – 17).
The Wolf and Hound 3617 West Broadway
Our favourite Irish pub in Kitsilano is having a night packed with entertainment. Doors open at noon with no cover charge if you get in before 5pm (after 5pm cover is $10). The entertainment starts at 5pm with live music from the Lucky Pennys, followed by River Dancing by the O’Connor Dance School Dancers. The main act is the 5 piece Irish Walkers, who will take the stage at 9pm. Lots of prize giveaways all night including a snowboard!
